   9 cross-platform Java-based user interface.</p><div class="section"><div class="titlepage"><div><div><h2 class="title" style="clear: both"><a id="_altosui_application"></a>1. AltosUI Application</h2></div></div></div><div class="itemizedlist"><ul class="itemizedlist" style="list-style-type: disc; "><li class="listitem">
  10 Receive and log telemetry from a connected TeleDongle
  11 device. All data received is saved to log files named with
  12 the current date and the connected rocket serial and flight
  13 numbers. There is no mode in which telemetry data will not
  14 be saved.
  15 </li><li class="listitem">
  16 Download logged data from TeleMetrum devices, either through
  17 a direct USB connection or over the air through a TeleDongle
  18 device.
  19 </li><li class="listitem">
  20 Configure a TeleMetrum device, setting the radio channel,
  21 callsign, apogee delay and main deploy height. This can be
  22 done through either a USB connection or over a radio link
  23 via a TeleDongle device.
  24 </li><li class="listitem">
  25 Replay a flight in real-time. This takes a saved telemetry
  26 log or eeprom download and replays it through the user
  27 interface so you can relive your favorite rocket flights.

  29 Reprogram Altus Metrum devices. Using an Altus Metrum device
  30 connected via USB, another Altus Metrum device can be
  31 reprogrammed using the supplied programming cable between
  32 the two devices.
  33 </li><li class="listitem">
  34 Export Flight data to a comma-separated-values file. This
  35 takes either telemetry or on-board flight data and generates
  36 data suitable for use in external applications. All data is
  37 exported using standard units so that no device-specific
  38 knowledge is needed to handle the data.

  40 Speak to you during the flight. Instead of spending the
  41 flight hunched over your laptop looking at the screen, enjoy
  42 the view while the computer tells you what’s going on up
  43 there. During ascent, you hear the current flight state and
  44 altitude information. During descent, you get azimuth,
  45 elevation and range information to try and help you find
  46 your rocket in the air. Once on the ground, the direction
  47 and distance are reported.
