   6         TeleMini v3 is 0.5 inches by 1.67 inches.  It was
   7         designed to fit inside an 18mm air-frame tube, but using it in
   8         a tube that small in diameter may require some creativity in
   9         mounting and wiring to succeed!  Since there is no
  10         accelerometer, TeleMini can be mounted in any convenient
  11         orientation.  The default ¼ wave UHF wire antenna attached to
  12         the center of one end of the board is about 7 inches long. Screw
  13         terminals for the power switch are located in the
  14         middle of the board. Screw terminals for the e-matches for
  15         apogee and main ejection charges depart from the other end of
  16         the board, meaning an ideal “simple” avionics bay for TeleMini
  17         should have at least 9 inches of interior length.

  19         === TeleMini v3 Screw Terminals

  21                 TeleMini v3 has four screw terminals on the end of the
  22                 board opposite the telemetry antenna. Two are for the apogee
  23                 and two are for main igniter circuits. Another two
  24                 screw terminals are located in the middle of the board
  25                 for the power switch.  Using the
  26                 picture above and starting from the top for the pyro terminals
  27                 and from the left for the power switch terminals, the
  28                 connections are as follows:

  60         === Using a Separate Pyro Battery with TeleMini v3

  62                 As described above, using an external pyro battery involves
  63                 connecting the negative battery terminal to the flight
  64                 computer ground, connecting the positive battery terminal to
  65                 one of the igniter leads and connecting the other igniter
  66                 lead to the per-channel pyro circuit connection. Because
  67                 there is no solid ground connection to use on TeleMini, this
  68                 is not recommended.

  70                 The only available ground connection on TeleMini v3 are
  71                 the two mounting holes next to the telemetry
  72                 antenna. Somehow connect a small piece of wire to one of
  73                 those holes and hook it to the negative pyro battery terminal.

  75                 Connecting the positive battery terminal to the pyro
  76                 charges must be done separate from TeleMini v3, by soldering
  77                 them together or using some other connector.

  79                 The other lead from each pyro charge is then inserted into
  80                 the appropriate per-pyro channel screw terminal (terminal 3 for the
  81                 Main charge, terminal 1 for the Apogee charge).

  83         === Using an Active Switch with TeleMini v3

  85                 As explained above, an external active switch requires three
  86                 connections, one to the positive battery terminal, one to
  87                 the flight computer positive input and one to ground. Again,
  88                 because TeleMini doesn't have any good ground connection,
  89                 this is not recommended.

  91                 The positive battery terminal is available on the Right
  92                 power switch wire, the positive flight computer input is on
  93                 the left power switch wire. Hook a lead to either of the
  94                 mounting holes for a ground connection.

  98                 TeleMini v1 is the earlier version of this product. It
  99                 has a lower-power radio, less storage, no beeper and
 100                 soldered-in wires instead of screw terminals for the
 101                 power switch.
