   8   </p></div></div></div><hr /></div><p>Version 0.8 offers a major upgrade in the AltosUI
   9 interface.</p><div class="section"><div class="titlepage"><div><div><h2 class="title" style="clear: both"><a id="_altosui_application"></a>1. AltosUI Application:</h2></div></div></div><div class="itemizedlist"><ul class="itemizedlist" style="list-style-type: disc; "><li class="listitem">
  10 Post-flight graphing tool. This lets you explore the
  11 behaviour of your rocket after flight with a scroll-able and
  12 zoom-able chart showing the altitude, speed and acceleration
  13 of the airframe along with events recorded by the flight
  14 computer. You can export graphs to PNG files, or print them
  15 directly.

  17 Real-time moving map which overlays the in-progress flight
  18 on satellite imagery fetched from Google Maps. This lets you
  19 see in pictures where your rocket has landed, allowing you
  20 to plan recovery activities more accurately.

  22 Wireless recovery system testing. Prep your rocket for
  23 flight and test fire the deployment charges to make sure
  24 things work as expected. All without threading wires through
  25 holes in your airframe.

  27 Optimized flight status displays. Each flight state now has
  28 it’s own custom <span class="emphasis"><em>tab</em></span> in the flight monitoring window so you
  29 can focus on the most important details. Pre-flight, the
  30 system shows a set of red/green status indicators for
  31 battery voltage, apogee/main igniter continutity and GPS
  32 reception. Wait until they’re all green and your rocket is
  33 ready for flight. There are also tabs for ascent, descent
  34 and landing along with the original tabular view of the
  35 data.

  37 Monitor multiple flights simultaneously. If you have more
  38 than one TeleDongle, you can monitor a flight with each one
  39 on the same computer.

  41 Automatic flight monitoring at startup. Plug TeleDongle into
  42 the machine before starting AltosUI and it will
  43 automatically connect to it and prepare to monitor a flight.

  45 Exports Google Earth flight tracks. Using the Keyhole Markup
  46 Language (.kml) file format, this provides a 3D view of your
  47 rocket flight through the Google Earth program.
