+currently underway.  We have 5 candidates for 3 open seats this year, and 
+there has been some 
+<a href="http://lists.spi-inc.org/pipermail/spi-general/2006-July/thread.html">
+spirited discussion</a>
+among candidates and others about the purpose and direction of the 
+organization.  The election closes on the 29th, so do it today!
