Came home from a weekend in the mountains with my family to discover that the
UPS serving the stack of networking gear and the main gag.com servers had shut
itself down, apparently during a big thunderstorm last Thursday evening.

Fortunately, pushing the "on" button on the UPS was enough to bring everything
back to life with no apparent loss of data.  But I can't help wondering if
there isn't something wrong with the UPS, since it should have powered itself
back up even if the batteries got run all the way down...  nothing useful in
the error logs.
