   2 Today, the panels of bare circuit boards, the paste stencil, and the last
   3 parts I need (the Venus GPS modules) to hand assemble first-article prototypes
   4 of [TeleMetrum](http://www.altusmetrum.org/TeleMetrum/) v0.2 all arrived!

   6 The parts for the first three prototypes are staged and ready to load,
   7 so my next step is to go use my CNC mill to rip up one of the panels into
   8 individual boards, then make up a fixture for the stencil.  Meanwhile, the
   9 solder paste is out of the shop fridge warming up...

  11 For my friends in Colorado, this means I will not try to attend the
  12 [NCR](http://ncrocketry.org/) annual meeting this weekend.  It's about a
  13 6 hour round-trip drive from my house to Ault, and getting boards loaded and
  14 tested before I leave for New Zealand where Keith and I are scheduled
  15 to give a
  16 [talk at LCA ](http://www.lca2010.org.nz/programme/schedule/view_talk/50182)
  17 about our work takes priority!
