   1 I just received word that there will be a Debian developer gathering in
   2 Bangalore, India, on the afternoon of Saturday, August 20th, at the
   3 <a href="http://www.iiitb.ac.in/">International Institute of Information
   4 Technology</a>.  The target audience is current or aspiring Debian
   5 developers, and interested and sophisticated users of Debian in Bangalore.  A
   6 <a href="http://www.iiitb.ac.in/debconf/">registration</a>
   7 page is available, and apparently there's an event mailing list.

   9 While I won't be able to attend, I think this sort of low-key, techie-focused,
  10 regional Debian gathering is a great idea... and it would be wonderful to have
  11 more Debian developers in India!
