   6         TeleMini v2.0 is 0.8 inches by 1½ inches. It adds more
   7         on-board data logging memory, a built-in USB connector and
   8         screw terminals for the battery and power switch. The larger
   9         board fits in a 24mm coupler. There's also a battery connector
  10         for a LiPo battery if you want to use one of those.

  14                 TeleMini v2.0 has two sets of four screw terminals on the end of the
  15                 board opposite the telemetry antenna. Using the picture
  16                 above, the top four have connections for the main pyro
  17                 circuit and an external battery and the bottom four have
  18                 connections for the apogee pyro circuit and the power
  19                 switch. Counting from the left, the connections are as follows:

  58         === Connecting A Battery To TeleMini v2.0

  60                 There are two possible battery connections on TeleMini
  61                 v2.0. You can use either method; both feed through
  62                 the power switch terminals.

  64                 One battery connection is the standard Altus Metrum
  65                 white JST plug. This mates with single-cell Lithium
  66                 Polymer batteries sold by Altus Metrum.

  68                 The other is a pair of screw terminals marked 'Battery
  69                 +' and 'Battery -'. Connect a battery from 4 to 12
  70                 volts to these terminals, being careful to match polarity.

  72         === Charging Lithium Batteries

  74                 Because TeleMini v2.0 allows for batteries other than
  75                 the standard Altus Metrum Lithium Polymer cells, it
  76                 cannot incorporate a battery charger
  77                 circuit. Therefore, when using a Litium Polymer cell,
  78                 you'll need an external charger. These are available
  79                 from Altus Metrum, or from Spark Fun.

  81         === Using a Separate Pyro Battery with TeleMini v2.0

  83                 As described above, using an external pyro battery involves
  84                 connecting the negative battery terminal to the flight
  85                 computer ground, connecting the positive battery terminal to
  86                 one of the igniter leads and connecting the other igniter
  87                 lead to the per-channel pyro circuit connection.

  89                 To connect the negative pyro battery terminal to TeleMini
  90                 ground, connect it to the negative external battery
  91                 connection, top terminal 4.

  93                 Connecting the positive battery terminal to the pyro
  94                 charges must be done separate from TeleMini v2.0, by soldering
  95                 them together or using some other connector.

  97                 The other lead from each pyro charge is then inserted into
  98                 the appropriate per-pyro channel screw terminal (top
  99                 terminal 1 for the Main charge, bottom terminal 1 for the

 104                 As explained above, an external active switch requires three
 105                 connections, one to the positive battery terminal, one to
 106                 the flight computer positive input and one to ground. Use
 107                 the negative external battery connection, top terminal 4 for
 108                 ground.

 111                 terminal 4, the positive flight computer input is on the
 112                 bottom terminal 3.
