   5         TeleMini v1.0 is ½ inches by 1½ inches.  It was
   6         designed to fit inside an 18mm air-frame tube, but using it in
   7         a tube that small in diameter may require some creativity in
   8         mounting and wiring to succeed!  Since there is no
   9         accelerometer, TeleMini can be mounted in any convenient
  10         orientation.  The default ¼ wave UHF wire antenna attached to
  11         the center of one end of the board is about 7 inches long. Two
  12         wires for the power switch are connected to holes in the
  13         middle of the board. Screw terminals for the e-matches for
  14         apogee and main ejection charges depart from the other end of
  15         the board, meaning an ideal “simple” avionics bay for TeleMini
  16         should have at least 9 inches of interior length.

  20                 TeleMini v1.0 has four screw terminals on the end of the
  21                 board opposite the telemetry antenna. Two are for the apogee
  22                 and two are for main igniter circuits. There are also wires
  23                 soldered to the board for the power switch.  Using the
  24                 picture above and starting from the top for the terminals
  25                 and from the left for the power switch wires, the
  26                 connections are as follows:

  57         === Using a Separate Pyro Battery with TeleMini v1.0

  59                 As described above, using an external pyro battery involves
  60                 connecting the negative battery terminal to the flight
  61                 computer ground, connecting the positive battery terminal to
  62                 one of the igniter leads and connecting the other igniter
  63                 lead to the per-channel pyro circuit connection. Because
  64                 there is no solid ground connection to use on TeleMini, this
  65                 is not recommended.

  67                 The only available ground connection on TeleMini v1.0 are
  68                 the two mounting holes next to the telemetry
  69                 antenna. Somehow connect a small piece of wire to one of
  70                 those holes and hook it to the negative pyro battery terminal.

  72                 Connecting the positive battery terminal to the pyro
  73                 charges must be done separate from TeleMini v1.0, by soldering
  74                 them together or using some other connector.

  76                 The other lead from each pyro charge is then inserted into
  77                 the appropriate per-pyro channel screw terminal (terminal 3 for the
  78                 Main charge, terminal 1 for the Apogee charge).

  82                 As explained above, an external active switch requires three
  83                 connections, one to the positive battery terminal, one to
  84                 the flight computer positive input and one to ground. Again,
  85                 because TeleMini doesn't have any good ground connection,
  86                 this is not recommended.

  88                 The positive battery terminal is available on the Right
  89                 power switch wire, the positive flight computer input is on
  90                 the left power switch wire. Hook a lead to either of the
  91                 mounting holes for a ground connection.
