   6         EasyMini is built on a 0.8 inch by 1½ inch circuit board. It's
   7         designed to fit in a 24mm coupler tube.

   9         You usually don't need to configure EasyMini at all; it's set
  10         up to do dual-deployment with an event at apogee to separate
  11         the airframe and deploy a drogue and another event at 250m
  12         (820ft) to deploy the main. Install EasyMini in your airframe,
  13         hook up a battery, igniters and a power switch and you're
  14         ready to fly.

  18                 EasyMini has two sets of four screw terminals near one end of the
  19                 board. Using the picture
  20                 above, the top four have connections for the main pyro
  21                 circuit and an external battery and the bottom four have
  22                 connections for the apogee pyro circuit and the power
  23                 switch. Counting from the left, the connections are as follows:

  62         === Connecting A Battery To EasyMini

  64                 There are two possible battery connections on
  65                 EasyMini. You can use either method; both feed
  66                 through the power switch terminals.

  68                 One battery connection is the standard Altus Metrum
  69                 white JST plug. This mates with single-cell Lithium
  70                 Polymer batteries sold by Altus Metrum.

  72                 The other is a pair of screw terminals marked 'Battery
  73                 +' and 'Battery -'. Connect a battery from 4 to 12
  74                 volts to these terminals, being careful to match polarity.

  76         === Charging Lithium Batteries

  78                 Because EasyMini allows for batteries other than the
  79                 standard Altus Metrum Lithium Polymer cells, it cannot
  80                 incorporate a battery charger circuit. Therefore, when
  81                 using a Litium Polymer cell, you'll need an external
  82                 charger. These are available from Altus Metrum, or
  83                 from Spark Fun.

  85         === Using a Separate Pyro Battery with EasyMini

  87                 As described above, using an external pyro battery involves
  88                 connecting the negative battery terminal to the flight
  89                 computer ground, connecting the positive battery terminal to
  90                 one of the igniter leads and connecting the other igniter
  91                 lead to the per-channel pyro circuit connection.

  93                 To connect the negative pyro battery terminal to EasyMini
  94                 ground, connect it to the negative external battery
  95                 connection, top terminal 4.

  97                 Connecting the positive battery terminal to the pyro
  98                 charges must be done separate from EasyMini, by soldering
  99                 them together or using some other connector.

 101                 The other lead from each pyro charge is then inserted into
 102                 the appropriate per-pyro channel screw terminal (top
 103                 terminal 1 for the Main charge, bottom terminal 1 for the

 108                 As explained above, an external active switch requires three
 109                 connections, one to the positive battery terminal, one to
 110                 the flight computer positive input and one to ground. Use
 111                 the negative external battery connection, top terminal 4 for
 112                 ground.

 115                 terminal 4, the positive flight computer input is on the
 116                 bottom terminal 3.
