- NHD-0420H1Z-FL-GBW-3V3-ND is the LCD module
- keithp wants a compass ... HMC5843
- holes for the LCD leads are too small
- for prototypes, workaround is remove pins from LCD module
and use wire-wrap wire to connect the 14 leads
- footprint for U17 (audio amp) is too wide .. need narrower SOIC 8
- for prototypes, existing footprint will work with careful
placement of the part and/or hand soldering after reflow
- loaded and reflowed two boards
- some silkscreen work is in order .. U1/U2 refdes could be better
positioned .. spots on IC's marking pin 1 should be outside chip
- tqfp footprint for tiny48 seems "largeish" .. not fatally, but
leaves me questioning a bit
- kapton paste mask worked, but was harder to use than stainless
- notes from initial turn on before I forget
- the footprint for the AVR ICSP connector is mirror-imaged!
- it's easy to crowbar the 3.3V rail by over-driving the audio amp.
can we run it from unregulated lipo instead? Would be nice to do
that, then crank up the gain.
- if we move off speaker to an earphone jack, perhaps DK CP-3523SJCT-ND ?
- be nice if the cheaper version could fit in Mouser 546-1591XXATBU, which is
the translucent blue Hammond 1591XXATBU
- the new 2x16 displays Keith plans to test might all best be installed using
double sided foam tape, like DK 3M4008-ND, which is 1/8" thick and 1" wide.
