Turn-On Log for TeleMetrum boards
- First production run received from Advanced Circuits, 54 units of v1.0.
To be complete, each board needs:
- add GPS patch antenna
- add customer choice of pyro connector
- remove C38 (wrong value, optional)
- replace C36 with 1uF (better value)
persistent crc error problems communicating over UHF link
solder bridge across C3, caused USB enumeration failure. removed the
short and it works ok.
GPS sensitivity seems very low .. ok with off-board amplified patch
missing J9, installed from my parts stock.
kapton tape left over baro sensor port, removed with tweezers.
U4 installed 180 degrees rotated, thus 5V supply not working, accel
gave weird values. Removed and replaced with fresh part.
GPS sensitivity seems low .. ok with off-board amplified patch
after it has locked once, re-locks just fine with onboard patch
R8 appears damaged, seemed to work, but removed and replaced anyway
persistent invalid crcs
I really don't understand the missing J9 connectors. The empty
parts baggie that was in the package of stuff sent to me says 56
were purchased, and we only have 54 boards. Where'd they go? And
can someone explain how a big red connector that's so visually
obvious could be missed in QA?
The one solder bridge and one damaged 0402 resistor found so far
may just be par for the course at this price/service level?
