TeleMetrum v1.0 design, plus a PIC as an SPI target to handle LCD and
joystick-style multi-way switch from Alps

move from assembler to sdcc for program .. just a skeleton now!

switch serial to 4 pins compatible with SF GPS boards carrying v_lipo on
pin 1, clean up some cruft in the database

freshen to match current thinking, TM v0.2 companion interface pinout, etc

features now include:
  LCD, 4 LEDs and 4 pushbuttons for user interface
  backlight and contrast of the LCD driven by software-controlled PWM
  3-pin serial port at 3.3V levels
